Do you already know the SIVAL 2022 programme? We tell you about it in this article!

An exceptional heritage is preserved in Angers: the French city that hosts the SIVAL international exhibition every year. This year’s 2022 edition will certainly be full of news! A veritable concentration of conferences and workshops where the protagonist is always the agriculture of the future.

Angers is also home to the most important institutions for agriculture, including Végépolys Valley and the Community Plant Variety Office. Just to mention a few more figures: around 5,000 people work in the Angers Loire Métropole area, dedicated to developing solutions to promote increasingly efficient agriculture. In addition, Angers is home to the 1st National Plant Research Centre, which employs around 450 experts in the field.

There was great satisfaction at the last edition of the fair, which ended with staggering numbers:

  • 700 exhibiting companies;
  • more than 26,000 visitors from all over the world;
  • around 300 meetings and encounters between participants.

Year after year, SIVAL confirms itself as an international trade fair. At the last edition, 55 nationalities were represented. The agricultural companies taking part in SIVAL 2022 are specialised in various fields and areas, including:

  • viticulture
  • vegetables grown in open fields or greenhouses
  • horticulture
  • seeds and seedlings
  • cereals
  • aromatic and medicinal herbs.

SIVAL 2022 is an emblematic example of how internationalisation is the future of agriculture. The presence of exhibitors and foreign delegations confirms that internationalisation has become one of the key points of the French fair.

Agroecology, innovation and technology are the words that best describe the mission of SIVAL 2022, in particular the AGreen Startup competition: 48 hours of meetings, moments of sharing and reflection, at the end of which the teams presenting the most convincing projects will be awarded.

During the three days of SIVAL 2022, the international exhibition dedicated to vegetable farming will also host Fruit 2050, the prospective event dedicated to professionals in the fruit industry.

SIVAL 2022 is therefore synonymous with innovation. The organisers and all participating companies are committed to providing concrete answers for connected and precision agriculture using robotics, Artificial Intelligence and other alternative production methods for more advanced and sustainable farming.

When it comes to innovation and forward thinking in the agricultural sector, Forigo has to be among the exhibitors!
