Fruit Logistica 2020: innovation in the fruit and vegetable sector

This winter Forigo will be attending at an unmissable event: Fruit Logistica 2020. The fair returns from the 5^th to the 7^th of February at the exhibition centre of Berlin to beat new records of exhibitors and visitors. The event will represent an important opportunity for discussion with companies from all over the world operating in the fruit and vegetables sector. Renewed not only in its content but also in the layout of the pavilions, Fruit Logistica 2020 has all the right credentials to successfully continue the growing trend of the previous editions: in fact, in 2019 this event attracted 3.276 exhibitors (including 2.979 foreigners) and 78.269 visitors (85% of which were from foreign countries). And this year it is aiming even higher.

As always, the focus of Fruit Logistica will be internationalization, which is also clear in the choice of the official partner country of the event: Ecuador will represent the 28th edition of the exhibition: new fresh products will land directly from South America (for example, golden berries, Andean blueberry, …), which can be used to open up to new and important commercial opportunities.

The international nature of Fruit Logistica combines perfectly with the completeness of the topics covered. In fact, within an area of ​​almost 140.000 m² it will be possible to get in touch with companies that operate in all the stages of the supply chain in the fruit and vegetable trade. There will be farmers, exporters, wholesalers, specialists in the field of crop reproduction and protection, packaging, logistics and more. The goal is to make the different types of business interact, with a view to developing effective economies of scale, as well as opening the doors to value comparisons.

In addition to the exhibitions, it will be possible to access interesting events related to Fruit Logistica, such as conferences and meetings, that this year will have sustainability as their main focus. One of the news of 2020 will even include a day dedicated to Career Network, with the possibility of participating in professional interviews.

During the event, great attention will be paid to Italy: our country will have 3 pavilions to showcase its fresh products and its excellences.
