Fruit Logistica 2019: the fair of innovativeness

The Forigo Team couldn’t pass up one of the most anticipated winter events in the world of agriculture: from Wednesday 6th to Friday 8th February 2019 it will be present in Berlin to participate in Fruit Logistica 2019. Discover all the features and news that the 27th edition of this event will bring with it.

Fruit Logistica is a fair officially born in 1993. The real focus around which this important event is oriented is the transport of fruit and vegetables: the idea is to offer meeting points and ideas for the development of a technical know-how that allows you to handle fruit and vegetables of all kinds effectively.

Over time, Fruit Logistica has become a can’t-miss appointment for the companies in the international agricultural industry: just think that in 2018 the Berlin event hosted 3.239 exhibitors from 84 countries around the world, welcoming 78.000 visitors, coming from 130 different countries. This is incredible data, ready to be replicated even for Fruit Logistica 2019. In fact, the exhibitors will once again be more than 3.000.

The success of Fruit Logistica is mainly due to the attention that organizers and exhibitors place on innovation. That is proved, in particular, by the presence of a “Tech Stage”, a reserved space for the presentation of technological solutions regarding:

• Cultivation techniques;
• Treatment after harvest;
• Working implants;
• Packaging implants;
• Wrapping materials;
• Great containers for transport;
• Transport techniques and systems.

In this way, the visitor can fully penetrate the agricultural world, keeping constantly informed about the main logistics methods of fruit and vegetables. But not only: Fruit Logistica 2019 will present, for the 14th time, the Fruit Logistica Innovation Award (FILA). This is the main recognition towards those who create new products, services or technical solutions for the development of fruit and vegetable trade. To vote the key idea of the edition will be the visitors themselves on Wednesday and Thursday.

Among the solutions nominated to receive the Fruit Logistica 2019 innovation award, there is also Modula, the precision seed drill made by Forigo. Participants at the event will have the opportunity to see it up close (in Hall 5.1, stand B-04) and admire the innovative features that make it so special: flexibility, compactness, speed and technology.

Another novelty of Fruit Logistica 2019 will be the "Start up day", which will be held on Friday 8 February and which will involve companies wishing to invest on their own idea, extremely innovative, in the agricultural sector. Therefore, start-ups will have a reserved space to present revolutionary projects and products.
