Forigo Roter Italia
The company Roter Italia began its commercial activity in 1972, when the Forigo brothers manufactured the first rotary harrow in their small facility in Salizzole, in the province of Verona. Later, the headquarters was moved to a much larger area (25,000 sqm) in Ostiglia (MN), where it is currently located.
Family tradition since 1972
The name Roter Italia comes directly from the rotary harrow: “Roter” refers to the rotating tools that break up the soil, and “Italia” identifies the country of origin for the machinery production. All Roter Italia products are branded and distributed under the FORIGO trademark and are divided into two product lines for soil preparation:
historical line for the agricultural sector: rotary harrows, tillers/fresators, shredders, defoliators
special line for the horticultural, gardening, and specialty crop sectors: stone buriers, bed formers, ridge formers, ridgers, mulchers, sterilizing machines for the distribution of solid and liquid fumigants.

Our history
1972
Foundation in Salizzole (VR). Production of the first rotary harrow.
1978
Relocation of the production facility to Ostiglia (MN).
1980
First expansion of the Ostiglia (MN) facility. Purchase of an adjacent area of approximately 8,000 sqm. eirmod tempor invidunt ut labore et dolore magna aliquyam erat.
1985
Expansion of the agricultural range with tillers and shredders.
1990
Development of the horticultural sector at the European level: the company creates new products and custom solutions. The range of stone buriers is born.
1992
The Forigo brothers establish SILCA, a company specialized in carpentry in Nogara (VR) to meet the increased production needs.

1994
Expansion of the horticultural range with the introduction of bed formers.
2000
Further expansion of the horticultural range: the development of the sterilizer range.
2020

Start of the research and development project for machines capable of planting on films and mulch: the Modula seeders are born.
2014-2018
Further expansion of the production facility, offices, and greenhouse demonstration test field, used for the research and development of new products.
2024
Launch of EnerG, the first 100% electric and autonomous agricultural machine, on the market.
Today
Roter Italia is a young and dynamic company, still led by the Forigo brothers and the new generations, and is highly active in international markets, with over 85% of its production exported.

Production facility
The facility offers modern and comfortable environments for the well-being of the staff, including spacious offices, relaxation areas, and air and water purification systems.
It is equipped with an advanced air ventilation and sanitation system with heat recovery and UV lamps.
Additionally, the 200 kWp photovoltaic system, consisting of 634 modules over 1,040 sqm, produces 292,000 kWh annually, reducing CO2 emissions by 116,800 kg per year.
