September is going to be a month full of events! Forigo’s team, again this year, will travel to Colombia to attend to Expo Agrofuturo 2019, one of the major events in South America dedicated to innovation and eco-sustainability for the agricultural sector. Expo Agrofuturo is one of the most important commercial platforms for the agricultural sector in Latin America, whose first edition dates back more than ten years. The name of the event is due to the company Agrofuturo, organizer of the event since 2006 and specialized in providing agricultural companies with all the information and knowledge necessary to improve their profitability and efficiency.
In this thirteenth edition, Expo Agrofuturo 2019 will follow the winning formula that, over the years, has made it the most important South American business center. This event, in fact, is much more than a simple fair: it brings together producers and traders of agricultural products and services and sets itself as a place where supply and demand meet, to give the agricultural sector the right push towards an innovative future focused on sustainability. During these days, all the various players in the production chain will have the opportunity to forge strategic alliances, find distributors and identify the best representatives for their products.
One of the main focuses of Expo Agrofuturo 2019 is, in fact, sustainable agriculture: in a world where climate change is an increasingly worrying issue and the lack of arable land is combined with the sudden decrease in fuels and raw materials, it is necessary to look for solutions. Eco-sustainability is an integral part of a new method for agriculture that is indispensable to face these problems.
The numbers of the previous editions of Expo Agrofuturo are particularly significant to understand the importance of this event. In the 2018 edition, more than 309 participating companies were registered with more than 16 thousand visitors both national and international and more than 12 participating countries.
During Expo Agrofuturo 2019 there will be several activities that will allow to have a general overview on the situation and on the future of the agricultural sector. Among these, two unmissable events: the X International Livestock Forum and the XI International Agricultural Congress, about technological progress in the production and marketing for agricultural sector and how technology is changing agriculture globally.
