Agritechnica 2019: Forigo wins a silver medal

The world's leading trade fair for agricultural machinery is coming up soon! Forigo’s team is ready to attend Agritechnica 2019, an unmissable event that will take place in Germany, in Hanover, from 10th to 16th November and will see the participation of the major agricultural companies. Seven days dedicated to innovation, technology, meeting and exchange between different realities from all over the world. Forigo will wait for you in the hall 21, stand C05. Over the years, Agritechnica has become an event of extraordinary importance for all players in the agricultural sector. Thanks to a special attention to innovation, this event represents an international showcase for agricultural engineering and and a forum for the future of plant production. The world's largest agricultural companies will be present among the exhibitors: that’s one of the reasons why the German fair is a precious opportunity for business development and to keep up with the latest news.

The guiding theme of Agritechnica 2019 concerns sustainability and local responsibility, subjects recently on the centre of the media attention. In fact, "Global farming - Local Responsibility" is the slogan conceived for this edition: on one hand the interconnection on a global level of numerous realities operating within the same sector, on the other the individuality of each of them and the responsibility that every producer has in the use of resources and in the organization of production processes. The goal is to spread awareness and give solutions for a sustainable agriculture that can respond to the needs of a constantly growing world population.

To confirm the centrality of this event, let’s look at the numbers. In the 2017 edition, 98% of visitors declared themselves satisfied with the experience, thanks to 2,800 exhibitors from 52 different countries, 458,000 visitors from 128 countries around the world and 394,000 mq of exhibitor space, divided into 23 pavilions. Agritechnica 2019 will offer a full technical programme of conferences, forums and workshops, to offer an overview that will touch the many aspects of agricultural mechanization.

Peculiarities of Agritechnica are the Innovation Awards, prizes for innovation awarded by a commission of experts appointed by the DLG (Deutsche Landwirtschafts-Gesellschaft - German Agricultural Society). Among 291 approved applications for product innovations, Forigo received one of the 39 silver medals, conferred on innovations that allow benefits to agricultural work.

The machine with which Forigo has managed to stand out, is the new solution Modula Jet, which will be the main focus of the stand at Agritechnica 2019. Modula Jet is an innovative seed placement technology for crops grown under film. This system makes sure that the seeds are pneumatically singled, then accelerated in an air stream and shot through the film into the soil. This process creates a small hole, in order to prevent the devepoment of weeds. An innovative machine that allows an improvement of the sowing process and guarantees very high precision. Thanks to the quality of this solution, Forigo can represent an Italian excellence in Germany.

Forigo’s team, in addition to the Modula Jet seed drill, will present other solutions for agriculture and horticulture, in-line with the context of innovation and technology of Agritechnica 2019. Among these, a second innovation that will be presented at Agritechnica 2019 is the rotary tiller Green Line. This is a particular equipment for rotary tillers that allows a clean and superficial cut on green fodder and legumes. Thanks to a very effective technique, Green Line is perfect for organic farming, because it offers several advantages. First of all, this equipment improves the characteristics and the structure of the soil: in fact, the decomposition of the green mass on the ground creates humus. Moreover, the use of herbicides and chemical treatments is reduced and future crops are strengthened, with a natural regulation of weeds.

At the event, Forigo will be attend from Sunday 10th to Saturday 16th November 2019, in the hall 21, stand C05, at the Exhibition Centre of Hanover, Germany. During the seven days, it will be possible to see and learn about all Forigo’s machines.
